The Cat 428 backhoe loader is equipped with the latest generation engine – C3.6 STAGE V and offers enhanced operator comfort, increased fuel efficiency and a powerful and efficient hydraulic system.

The Cat® C3.6 engine meets EU STAGE V emission standards, while guaranteeing up to 10% improved fuel efficiency. The aftertreatment system is self-contained, integrating Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and a long-term DPF.
The extendable swing model sets the standard for Cat backhoe loaders (BHL). It gives the user increased digging capacity and flexibility in the presence of obstacles, reducing the need for frequent repositioning of equipment.
Excavator bucket pilot controls are an advanced option for the 428 backhoe loader (not available for the 55 kW version). These controls, ergonomically located on the seat, give operators maximum precision with minimum effort.
Load-sensing hydraulics with adjustable flow pump deliver power exactly when it’s needed.
Users can opt for Eco, Standard or Standard Plus mode, adapting to specific site conditions. Eco mode optimises fuel consumption, lowering costs, while Standard Plus mode boosts speed and performance on demand.
